Industry Experts to Speak at Workshop for Bank Directors on Zoom – March 17-19, 2021

Dallas, Texas—March 2021— the SW Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB) Foundation will convene this spring’s Virtual Workshop for Bank Directors online, March 17-19, 2021. Bank directors from throughout the United States will participate in a program that includes risk management expert Jennifer Burke, credit authority David Kemp, strategist S. Scott MacDonald, cybersecurity expert Kevin Streff and credit management consultant Dev Strischek. The Workshop will be live streamed on the Zoom platform.

"This is a critical time for financial instituitions and the boards that oversee them," SWGSB Foundation president S. Scott MacDonald, Ph.D., said. "Only by pausing to take the time to evaluate the challenges and the strategies to meet those challenges can we truly build a firm foundation for future growth.”

The Workshop will cover a number of important topics, including "Credit Risk Management from the Director's Perspective" (Kemp); "Ten Questions Directors Should Be Asking about Cybersecurity" (Streff); "The Board's Role in Enterprise Risk Management" (Burke); "Ups and Downs of Lending Through the Business Cycle in Pandemic Times" (Strischek); and "What will be the post pandemic semi-new, or NOW, normal?" (MacDonald). There will also be a panel discussion with the Workshop speakers.
